MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS Winner of 2nd Annual Aidmatrix Technology Innovation Award: Digital Makeover

The winners of the 2nd annual Technology Innovation Award:Digital Makeover were announced in front of 600+ guests at the 2nd annual Aidmatrix Digital Ball fundraising gala at Dallas Market Center last November. The 2013 grand-prize winner was MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS, an organization that creates both local and global service projects for children, empowering them to change the world by helping others. New Friends New Life, an organization that restores and empowers formerly trafficked girls and sexually exploited women and their children, received the runner-up prize.

As the grand-prize winner, MISSION POSSIBLE KIDS will receive a social media makeover to help the organization build a more robust online presence, enhancing the organization’s reach and advancing its mission of building the next generation of leaders, volunteers and philanthropists. Other options for the grand prize included a new website/website redesign, a website upgrade to HTML5, website mobile enablement, stable & secure assessment, or online event management tool. As runner-up, New Friends New Life will receive the Aidmatrix online event management suite, to help the organization more effectively manage fundraising events via a single online solution.

Aidmatrix takes great pride in this worthy cause of honoring local Texas nonprofits and the Technology Innovation Award is a noteworthy element of the Aidmatrix Digital Ball evening. The 2013 award was sponsored by Accenture, with additional support from Microsoft and Avanade. Aidmatrix was honored to receive so many qualified applications for the Award’s second year, and received many worthy and compelling Texas nonprofit applications.

After a preliminary round of assessments, the TIA Judging Panel reviewed and scored the applicants to determine three finalists. During the in-person judging session, the three finalists made a presentation to the judging panel, followed by a brief Q&A session. With three outstanding contenders, choosing the prize recipients was challenging, but the judges were able to evaluate each of the finalists and name the grand-prize and runner-up winners of the 2013 Award.

The panel of judges included representatives from Accenture, Avanade and Microsoft, along with Steve Holland of 7-Eleven, Inc., Michael Dunn of Dex Media, Relle Howard of Flowserve, Barbara Adams and Edward Marx of Texas Health Resources, and Travis Crenshaw of United Surgical Partners International.

Representatives from both organizations were in attendance at the Aidmatrix Digital Ball, where their names were announced on-stage during the event presentation. Both organizations have begun development for their respective prizes, and Aidmatrix looks forward to sharing the results of their successes and impact in the coming months.
