Save The Children Distribution Requirements Workshop in Connecticut

Aidmatrix’ Shari Temple participated in a distribution requirements workshop with Save the Children in Westport, Connecticut.  The 3 day workshop held Oct 29-31 included 4 people from Save’s global commodities group, their SCM project manager and one person from Save the Children Bangladesh.   The group reviewed the current capability of Save Bangladesh’s home grown solution called McAid (Mother and Child aid) which supports their registration and distribution of USAID commodities.   During the workshop, the global needs for Save distribution were defined and documented.   Although the emphasis was on food commodities, we also included what would be needed for NFI (non-food items). Aidmatrix will incorporate these requirements in the expansion of the SCM4Good Distribution Module that has been funded by Cisco.
