HelpBridge Mobile App Launch Continues to Grow; Expanding Programs for Blood Banks to Help Patients with Critical Needs

Today was a day of celebration of a job well done, and then rolling up sleeves on a new endeavor – both with partners in the Seattle area.

First, I met with James Rooney of Microsoft and Aidmatrix’ Julie Ross as we reviewed the successful launch of Microsoft HelpBridge,  a personal disaster preparedness and disaster relief application produced by Microsoft, featuring data feeds from Aidmatrix’ National Donations Management Network™ as well as information from Aidmatrix and Microsoft partners, VolunteerMatch.org and Network for Good.   Julie and I have been consulting with Microsoft for over a year on this app and all are excited to see it really taking off.
Next, I was off to launch a new project in the health arena.   Aidmatrix is supporting a cadre of leading medical experts and Accenture personnel to develop a system to help patients with medical needs that require blood products that have uncommon (rare) signatures.  The program aims to create a national system whereby these dire medical needs can be met with the right supplies from anywhere around the country.
This program will save lives – I am honored to be a part of it.

The following are some photos from my launch meeting at the Puget Sound Blood Center.  Pictured are Dr. Meghan Delaney from the Puget Sound Blood Center, Greg Luethe from Accenture, and some of the PSBC staff.
